The "Silvia Parente" Sports Foundation was established in 2006 and has been promoting and supporting sports as a tool for inclusion ever since. The efforts of members and volunteers linked to the Foundation are aimed at creating and promoting projects that aim to involve people with disabilities in the practice of sports.
At any age and with any level of preparation, it is possible to participate in activities such as tennis, climbing, running, and cycling: for the latter in particular, there are specifically designed routes for tandems and handbikes within the BOM.BA ("Bologna Montana Bike Area") in the areas of Loiano, Monzuno, Monghidoro, and San Benedetto Val di Sambro. It is also possible to practice skiing at the Monte Cimone center: participants will be welcomed in an accessible hut where they can also find all the equipment dedicated to adapted skiing.
The Foundation's activities are nonprofit and aim to make the sport usable for all levels of disability while guaranteeing the same degree of adrenaline.
