The Appennino Bolognese are part of the province of Bologna

This is a small ancient oasis about 60km from Bologna and from Florence; gastronomy is one of the great discoveries which will amaze the tourist in search of genuine and traditionally local food.

Wild nature and a rich historical heritage characterize this area. Here, the visitor will be amazed by the darkness of the brushwood, the pureness of water springs and the unexpected sight of wild animals. These Municipalities are part of the Bolognese Apennines: Alto Reno Terme (Granaglione, Porretta Terme), Camugnano, Casalecchio di Reno, Castel D'Aiano, Castel Di Casio, Castiglione dei Pepoli, Gaggio Montano, Grizzana Morandi, Lizzano In Belvedere, Loiano, Marzabotto, Monghidoro, Monterenzio, Monte San Pietro, Monzuno, Ozzano dell'Emilia, Pianoro, San Benedetto Val di Sambro, San Lazzaro di Savena,  Sasso Marconi, Valsamoggia (Bazzano, Castello di Serravalle, Crespellano, Monteveglio e Savigno), Vergato e Zola Predosa.
