Unipol Arena

Unipol Arena (former Futurshow Station) is situated in the trading area of Casalecchio di Reno.

Built in 1993 following the example of Europe's greatest arts, sports centres, it is a Communication theatre with a capacity of 15,000 people.

Unipol Arena is composed of modular spaces designed to accomodate any type of event such as conventions & meetings, world-famous sports events and concerts, musical and theatrical performances, cultural events, competitions, galas, exhibitions and fairs.

The building is also made up of permanent exhibition spaces, such as the Virtus Museum, an interactive museum dedicated to the history of basket that opened on the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna, a Bolognese basket team whose matches are played at the Unipol Arena, and a museum dedicated to innovation and creativity with art installations, a music museum and a memorial dedicated to the memory of the maestro Luciano Pavarotti.
