Suviana Lake

Suviana lake, built in 1932 as a reservoir, is located in a picturesque environment rich in forests and springs. Its waters come from the Limentra, Treppio, Sambuca and Reno rivers and it is connected to two hydroelectric power plants, one is located below the Suviana dam, while the other was built along the shores of the lake, precisely in Bargi.

Immersed in the territory of the Suviana and Brasimone Lakes Regional Park, it offers a route marked by the C.A.I. that allows a complete tour, passing through various points of interest.

In addition to hydroelectric power generation, the lake is suitable for bathing activities and water sports such as windsurfing, sailing and rowing, despite strict bathing regulations. With several pic nic areas, it is a popular weekend destination for nature lovers.
