The ancient Perìo spring has already been mentioned since the 13th century for its healthful and organoleptic properties related to taste, color and clarity.
Legend has it that the spring water flowing from this spring was even capable of healing fever.
In 2018, it ranked first for "quality and purity" among the free springs of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, during an edition of the "Alto Reno Terme National Water Festival" held in Porretta Terme. Receiving the award, created by Porretta artist Elena Brasa, was the Pro Loco of Badi. The Perìo spring is located within a park of chestnut trees, with bridges and streams, a stone's throw from Brasimone Lake.
