In the foothills above the area of Maggio, hamlet 5.3 km away from Ozzano, lies the small and cosy borough of San Pietro. It includes a lovely Torre (tower) which was once part of the walls of a castle built in medieval times to defend the Via Emilia.
Two-hundred metres from the nearby church of San Pietro, it is worth noting the two 15th-century fountains “Delle Armi”, named after the Bolognese family who once had a palace here.
