La Presa

La Presa was founded within an ancient farmhouse located in the heart of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, at the source of the Randaragna River, in the westernmost of the villages: Casa Moschini. Fully inhabited until the 1960s, today it is, like many other villages in our Apennines, almost completely uninhabited. This adds to its charm and takes visitors on a journey back in time, where they can admire ancient stone mills rising from lush, jagged fields, where, walking along the countless paths, they can still hear the clatter of mules' hooves laden with wood or coal, the clatter of axes, and the voices of lumberjacks.

A journey to rediscover a mountain and rural tradition that over time has become increasingly valued, appreciated, and intriguing. But it is also a journey to discover paths and peaks of unique beauty, whose conquest requires effort and knowledge. From our property, numerous trails connect (both on foot and by mountain bike) to the Alta Via Dei Parchi, which leads to the Corno alle Scale Regional Park, the picturesque Lake Scaffaiolo, the wild Monte Gennaio, or the gentle Pian Dello Stellaio. For the less adventurous, just minutes from the property, you can take a refreshing dip in the various waterfalls and crystal-clear pools that wind throughout the valley.

Our hospitality is genuine and authentic, as are the rooms we offer—double, twin, or single—in an intimate setting where mutual respect and a friendly atmosphere are essential for a memorable stay or vacation. Our guests have access to the restaurant, offering dinner and lunch, as well as breakfast, and the bar is open 24/7.
