Explore the extraordinary Spipola Cave, discovered back in 1932 by the Bolognese speleologist Luigi Fantini. A good 4 km long, it is considered one of the largest karst cavities in the chalklands of Western Europe.
Nestled in the impressive Parco dei Gessi e Calanchi dell'Abbadessa, this wonder is part of the UNESCO heritage. Public transport: The cave can be reached on foot by taking 11b from the terminus in Via Edera. Please consider a 15-minute uphill walk to the meeting point with the guides.
