Valsamoggia
Ecomuseum "della Collina e del Vino", located at the Casa del Capitano della Montagna in the medieval village of Castello di Serravalle, different from traditional museums, offers a comprehensive view of the activities carried out by residents in the past and present, blending seamlessly into the history and environment of the area it aims to enhance.
Organized into nine systems, each focusing on a key theme of the relationship between man and the land, within which visitors can take advantage of educational panels dedicated to each system, identified by a distinctive color. These panels provide in-depth texts, evocative images and symbolic objects that are particularly reminiscent of the topics covered. The information provided by the educational panels is concise and the exhibits are limited in number, precisely so as not to focus attention inside the Captain's House, but to direct it to the outside, the true home of the Ecomuseum.
Once out of the Captain's House, visitors can walk through the itineraries on the territory, to get in touch with the real aspects of the Systems themselves.
The educational route is enriched by a small library dedicated to local culture and a tasting corner, where it is possible to explore and taste the wines produced in the municipal area.
