The area has some interesting historical buildings, such as the remains of a castle which is the last existing fortress of the counts of Panico; later on, the building became the house of the counts of Montasico, until it was completely restored by the count Silvestro de Boatieri in 1475.
There was also a Medieval small oratory dedicated to the saints Pietro and Andrea (probably 1116) that Silvestro de Boatieri transformed into a fortified building in a typically Renaissance style; today there is only one floor left of the original building, with an inner courtyard and an imposing doorway. Near the doorway there is an architrave which bears the coat of arms of the Volta family. In the area of Montasico can be seen several house-towers: Ca' Barbetti (XIV-XV century), Monzale (probably part of the fortress of the castle of Montasico; it has interesting XV century windows in fired brick), the Costa (XV century; with a interesting decorated window and a tower dating back to 1500). The oratory 'Oratorio della Croce' is definitely worthy a visit; it is dedicated to the saints Antonio Abate and Liberata and it was rebuilt in the XVIII century on the foundations of a former church.
