The National Etruscan Museum stands on the edge of the extensive archaeological area of the remains of the Etruscan city of Kainua.
The layout of the museum includes several thematic rooms. Room I illustrates the history of the museum and the Etruscan city of Marzabotto. Room II deals with the sacred areas and daily life of the ancient city. Room III presents the contexts of habitation up to the final stages of occupation. Room IV is devoted to the archaeological sites of the Reno valley, probably offering an overview of archaeological discoveries and evidence in the surrounding region.
