Casa Morandi offers an authentic insight into the life and personality of the great painter Giorgio Morandi.
Here you can immerse yourself in the heart of Morandi's poetics and admire the original furnishings, artist's tools and objects featured in so many famous still lifes.
Giorgio Morandi's house at the entrance to the village, which became a museum thanks to the will of his sister Maria Teresa, and in 1994, the year of his death, the house was donated to the Grizzana Municipality with the express condition that it be opened to visitors without making any changes. Inside, of particular interest are the library, study and bedroom.
In front of the house are the Fienili del Campiaro, a subject often portrayed in Morandi's works, offering visitors a direct connection to the painter's artistic inspiration.
