Alto Reno Terme
The Porretta thermal baths, located in the heart of the Bolognese Apennines, have been famous since the time of the ancient Romans for their sulfurous and salsobromoiodic waters that flow from as many as 14 springs. The spa's history is ultramillennial and multifaceted, with one legend attributing the springs' fame to a sick ox that recovered after drinking from one of them, becoming the spa's emblem. The spa offers year-round spa treatments, including balneotherapy, which involves soaking in a thermal pool with 35°C bromine and iodine-salt water, providing an immediate sensation of muscle relaxation. Other treatments include pool baths and ozone therapies. The spa also has a modern wellness area, where there is a thermal pool, sauna, relaxation space, and vascular path. Relaxing massages and treatments for the body and face, such as thermal mud and Ayurvedic medicine treatments, are carried out. Therefore, the Porretta thermal baths represent not only a place for wellness and body care, but also an oasis of relaxation immersed in the nature of the Apennines, ideal for regenerating and taking care of your health in a charming and welcoming environment.
