Porretta Soul Festival

The Porretta Soul Festival has become an international landmark for artists and fans of soul, rhythm and blues music for more than 30 years.

After the first edition in 1987, in fact, many world-famous singers and groups (such as wamp Dogg, Rufus & Carla Thomas, Solomon Burke, Howard Tate, Isaac Hayes, Wilson Pickett, The Memphis Horns, LaVern Baker and many others) have taken turns on the stages of Porretta Terme, bringing new sounds among the Apennine landscapes.

Over the years, the event has been enriched with side events such as the creation of the Museum of Soul, dedicated to the event, and the Street Food Village, thanks to which food from around the world can be enjoyed for the entire duration of the festival. Among the most important initiatives we find the event related to Street Art of 2021, which brought renowned European artists to paint murals dedicated to soul and blues legends on the city's buildings, creating a fascinating artistic itinerary.
