Not far from Castelluccio di Porretta Terme, along the charming road that leads from Pennola to the Sanctuary of Madonna del Faggio, lies the picturesque village of Tresana, renowned and appreciated for its charming mountain architecture.
The houses, built with local stone centuries ago, tell stories of families who lived in harmony with nature's resources, especially chestnuts, which were the main source of livelihood. Today, the hamlet has been lovingly restored, transforming itself into a holiday resort for the descendants of the ancient owner families.
Tresana could rightly be called the "Land of Hydrangeas," as the inhabitants affectionately care for these flowers, which during flowering dye the village in the most varied shades of colors, from electric blue to lilac, from purple to pink, giving an enchanting and timeless setting.
