Tudiano and Veggio are two small historic villages in the municipality of Grizzana Morandi.
The first one holds a tower-house (imposing stone dwellings typical of the Apennines) and the oratory dedicated to San Lorenzo. This oratory has a small sail bell tower dating back to the twelfth century and features an interesting fifteenth-century fresco depicting the Madonna with the Child. It is one of the few surviving examples of a medieval parish church with a clear Romanesque structure, featuring a small rectangular apse. The square window above the main entrance is the result of sixteenth to seventeenth-century alterations.
On the other hand, Veggio around 1100 was the site of a castle probably owned by the Panico family, a noble family that held the position of Captains of the Mountain
