The MuseOntani, located in Vergato City Hall, is a permanent exhibition dedicated to the artist Luigi Ontani, a native of this town. The museum offers an immersion in the artistic and cultural journey of the master.
Inside the museum, you can admire his works, characterized by picturesque, allegorical, folkloric, mythological and legendary elements, with clear literary references.
The master's artistic production ranges across different techniques and materials, including papier-mâché, plaster, glass, ceramics, marble and wood. A distinctive aspect of his work is also photography, where Ontani is often the protagonist of his creations, adding a personal and autobiographical element to his work.
In 1998, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, Luigi Ontani created four large stained glass windows. These stained glass windows depict the mythology of the four Mountain Captains, interweaving the four ages and the cycle of life, the four seasons and the four natural elements.
