In the center of the ancient village of Ca' Melati stands Comelli Palace, which, contrary to the rustic forms of stone dwellings typical of the area, represents an excellent expression of mountain bourgeois architecture, positioning itself as one of the most significant historic buildings in the Reno Valley.
Its transformations over time are the result of the intervention of the notary Comelli family, who lived there until the end of the 20th century. The residence, enlarged over the years by the wealthy family, is built around evocative inner courtyards. Facing the valley, the imposing main facade of the palace emerges, characterized by two low foreparts and a central triangular gable, notable for the presence of the family coat of arms.
On the south side, looms an imposing sundial dating from the 17th century, which adds a touch of historical charm to the building.
The uniqueness of this building lies in its extraordinary preservation, which has made it possible to preserve all the original furnishings on the main floor. The rooms are adorned with fireplaces made of local natural stone, including sandstone and ophiolitic rocks, as attested by the original carvings that underscore their authenticity. Along the access road to the village lies the Oratory of Santa Maria in Porcole, built in the 14th century.
