Ercolani Museum of pathological anatomy and veterinary teratology

The faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Bologna University is located in Ozzano and hosts interesting collections.

The Ercolani museum displays over 3,000 specimens of animal pathology. Founded by Giovan Battista Ercolani in 1863 with veterinary specimens from the Chamber of comparative anatomy. Genuine works of art are the models in wax, clay and plaster, full-scale reproductions of the damaged interior organs of domestic animals and of animal monstrosities.
