Tower of San Pietro

In the foothills above the area of Maggio, in the borough of San Pietro, there is the lovely Torre (tower) which was once part of the walls of a castle built in medieval times to defend the Via Emilia.

200 metres from the nearby church of San Pietro, it is worth noting the two 15th-century fountains, called “Delle Armi” from the name of the Bolognese family who once had a palace here.
